Now that pupils have settled back into the new school year, it may be that thoughts are turning to the next stage in your child’s education. For some this may be a move onto another school and this needs careful planning.

Some of the top independent schools have waiting lists, so your search for the right school needs to start a couple of years before the anticipated entry. One way to ensure entry is to move your child into the Prep school of your chosen Senior school. Pupils at the Prep school may have a guaranteed place at the Senior school. Unless your child enters school at 4+, where selection is often through interview/observation, Prep school 7+ entry will involve an entrance examination, interview and report from the child's current school.

The final chance to register your child for an entrance exam in many top schools is fast approaching. A list of some London schools with dates and with links to their sites can be found below. Always check the admissions section on your intended schools’ website for information regarding dates and the process for registering your child. Alternatively book a consultation here and we can support you through the process. A visit to the school, either in person or virtually is important before applying for entry and dates for these can be found on the school website. These are also listed on our Tutor page. If you would like to book an accompanied visit, please click here.
